The Oregon Trail

We had a super-wonderful time with Ron, Kate, Jenny, Rubi, Shilo, Breanna, Matt, Elsa, Anders, Janet, Dickie, Julie, Dave, Harrison, Lauren, Phoebe, and Tessa (whew) in the beautiful blazes of Ashland, and the Snails, Cyndy, Doug, and Lindsay in a madcap night in Portland. Thank you all for all the wonderful fun stuff that you organized - the ballet, the shows, the hotels, the big breakfasts, the picnics, the chitchatting, the shows, the airfare, oh, everything! It was such a blast. A few photos are here, and for those of you who liked the whole pictures of pictures thing, here ya go!

The Virginians are Coming!

A big hearty thank you to Lauren and Juliet for coming to visit, and persevering with aplomb and elan through a bitterly cold long weekend. We were so pleased to enjoy the Children's Museum, the snowfall, and warm and cozy times inside just hanging out. Have a look at the photos and a few little movies below. We can't wait for Harrison to come visit, too!

This was our first real Christmas in New York, and we established the new tradition of the disco Christmas tree, made some cookies, and had fun chatting with relatives on Skype.
